MAZAK Northeast Event Highlights Speed, Precision and Productivity
For those manufacturers seeking to significantly boost output, Mazak will demonstrate machine tool technology that delivers speed, precision and productivity at its DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK Northeast event May 13-14, 2025. Visitors to the event, taking place at Mazak’s Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, will also discover how to overcome today’s high production demands with automation solutions and guidance from onsite Mazak applications engineers.
With live cutting demonstrations, Mazak will showcase the production capabilities of its CNC horizontal and vertical machines and turning centers along with DONE IN ONEÒ Multi-Tasking and full five-axis machines, all working on real-world part applications.
Mazak is a producer of the industry’s most accurate horizontal machining centers, and the event will feature the company’s HCN-4000 NEO Horizontal Machining Center paired with a 2-pallet changer that allows the machine to keep working uninterrupted on one pallet while operators set up the next job on the second pallet. As a NEO model, the machine represents Mazak’s next generation horizontal machining centers with enhanced precision and productivity for a diverse range of applications in high-mix/low-volume to low-mix/high-volume production environments.
For five-axis multi-sided machining of complex 3D curved surfaces, DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK Northeast event attendees will experience the company’s HCR-5000 simultaneous 5-axis horizonal machining center. The HCR-5000 provides high-speed axial acceleration/deceleration with an integrated spindle/motor design that eliminates power loss and minimizes vibration for improved tool life and superior surface finishes. A special high-accuracy tilting rotary machine table provides 0.0001-degree positioning increments in the A and C axes for simplified machining of complex part geometries.
With Mazak DONE IN ONE® Multi-Tasking, shops can process completed parts from raw materials on single machines and in single setups. Open house visitors will experience that capability with the INTEGREX i-350H S AG, featuring a second turning spindle and HYBRID AUTO GEAR (AG) package and the INTEGREX i-100H ST with a second turning spindle and lower turret.
Both machines easily integrate with Mazak automation solutions and feature Ai Thermal Shield that suppresses changes in the cutting-edge position based on spindle speed and temperature of the machine. The function stabilizes continuous machining accuracy through meticulous machine control based on temperature changes, machine position, coolant ON/OFF and other factors. New algorithms improve the accuracy of compensation, and with accumulated and learned data from subsequent measurements, thermal displacement compensation is optimized for each machining environment for stable machining accuracy.
Rounding out the Multi-Tasking category, the QT-Ez 10MY featuring milling and Y-axis off-centerline capability will highlight Mazak’s Ez LOADER automation for added performance and value in a compact design. The QT-Ez 10MY performs multiple operations on a workpiece in single setups to reduce cycle times and improve accuracy.
On the vertical machining center side, Mazak will spotlight its affordable, Kentucky-built VC-Ez 20 Vertical Machining Center. The machine provides easy programming, machining and setup for virtually any size shop, is optimized for simple operation and will demonstrate Mazak’s Thermal Displacement Control for stable and reliable part processing during the event.
As part of Mazak’s network of regional Technology Centers and Technical Centers, the Northeast facility gives Mazak customers access to process and application engineering expertise, training and collaboration opportunities for new manufacturing solution development. The center works closely with manufacturers in all industry segments with a special focus on the medical and jet engine/aerospace sectors.
Every Mazak machine, including those at the DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK Northeast event, are backed by Mazak MPower Complete Customer Care, the industry’s most comprehensive machine support program. Plus, Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF) allows shops to easily move their manufacturing forward with one-stop, factory-direct financing on Mazak equipment.
The Northeast event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day with lunch served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. each evening.
