Social Activities across Europe

Across Europe we are involved in a range local initiatives to do our bit for the environment.

Solar Panels

We have installed solar panels on the roofs of several of our Technology Centres, with the energy generated being used to power operations. For example, Mazak Denmark is approximately 80% self-sufficient, relying on electricity generated by the panels on their roof.

Electric Vehicle Chargers

Most of our Technology Centres are equipped with electric vehicle chargers that can be used by visitors when they visit us.

Mazak Bees

Mazak Poland proudly maintains four bee hives, contributing to the health and vitality of the local ecosystem. During Open House events and seminars, visitors have the unique opportunity to sample the delicious honey produced by these hives and take a jar home as a sweet memento of their visit.

MyForest Collaboration – Mazak Hungary

During their Open House, Mazak Hungary do not provide giveaways to their customers, instead they make donations to the MyForest Community Forest Foundation along with volunteering their own time.

Since partnering with the foundation, Mazak Hungary has successfully planted over 1,100 saplings, contributing to the restoration and growth of local forests.

European Manufacturing Plant

At Mazak Europe's headquarters in Worcester, several initiatives have been implemented to reduce the company's carbon footprint. These include energy-efficient LED lighting, automatic light sensors, thermal roller rapid doors, and strategically placed recycling bins - all of which help minimise heat loss and reduce overall power consumption.

In 2018, they won the International Green Apple Award for environmental best practice in engineering and manufacturing.

Social Activities across the UK

Mazak UK takes pride in supporting our local community through a variety of meaningful charity initiatives, organized and driven by our dedicated charity committee, which is led by our apprentices. This team of young professionals meets monthly to brainstorm and coordinate creative ways to support local causes.

Recent activities include sponsoring a penguin for the "Waddle of Worcester" event, raising funds for St. Richard's Hospice, and hosting a charity car wash to support the Air Ambulance’s lifesaving missions. We’ve also organized donation collections for the Salvation Army and coordinated regular food contributions for those in need. Each event reflects our commitment to making a positive impact locally and fosters a spirit of giving among our team, with our apprentices leading the charge.
