Mazak Optonics Releases New Control and Software for Tube Laser Cutting Machines
Mazak Optonics Corp. has released a new control interface and CAD/CAM computer software optimized for its tube and pipe laser metal cutting machine offerings to streamline user experience.
Mazak’s new TUBE DX CAD/CAM software offers a complete view of programming options in a user-friendly layout. A 3D preview model provides visual verification prior to production. TUBE DX assists programmers by reducing human error with automatic programming functions. The software automatically allocates the optimal cutting path for each shape and selects the most suitable material in stock for each job to reduce remnant when nesting. High precision simulations test processes from loading to processing and unloading for uninterrupted production.
The updated SmoothTUBE control interface features a dual panel with 21.5-inch touchscreen displays to provide operators a comprehensive view of the complete production process for intuitive control and easy operation. The upper monitor offers an overview of the machine with 3D images and important status updates, including production processing status. The upper monitor further supports operators by offering easy access to necessary menu options for machine operation and maintenance. The lower monitor facilitates smooth machine operation from job scheduling to production. Operators can conveniently set conditions for scheduled operations and reprocess selected parts from the lower monitor on the control—without the need to edit the original program directly.
The TUBE DX software and SmoothTUBE control are now available on Mazak’s FT-150 NEO and FG-400 NEO tube lasers.
