Quick Q&A with Jason Rossler
What is your background involving laser machines and the fabrication industry?
"I have been in the manufacturing industry, as a whole, for over 20 years. I was previously with Mazak for 13 years from 2000-2013 and returned after an 8-year absence. When I first started at Mazak, I was a field service engineer. From there, I moved to phone support. I also filled the roles of Installation Supervisor, as well as Scheduling and West Coast Supervisor along the way."
What is your current role at Mazak?
“I am the Installation Manager. I will be assisting Mazak engineers, communicating with customers before and during the installation of a machine, dealing with any open issues after the installation, and reporting the status of installations to the appropriate people.”
What is your definition of great customer service?
"The biggest part of great customer service is listening to the customer. I think that many customers in all different fields feel as though they are not heard, and listening to the customer can help build a great relationship. From there, the customer can rely on us and will know that we are here for them."
What are your hobbies and interests?
"I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as getting into the outdoors—fishing and camping. Golfing is also a great pastime, even though I do not get a chance to do much of it. I have also been trying to get into woodworking, as I enjoy working with my hands."
If you could only eat at one restaurant forever, what restaurant would it be?
"I think that I would choose the Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. They have some of the best steaks that I have ever had a chance to try. They also have great sides and other main dishes that all have been exceptional."
