Aerospace

Mazak provides production optimisation and outstanding support to the aerospace industry. Using our high-performance, high-precision, multi-tasking machines and 5-axis machining centres, you can expect the efficient machining of difficult-to-machine parts such as titanium, heat-resistant alloys, stainless steel and aluminium. Furthermore, by process integration, we can shorten production lead times and reduce production costs. We are able to offer optimal solutions and support based on our customers’ development plan, which includes topics such as challenging component production, customisation of machine tools, and automation.

Applications
Mazak's extensive product range and outstanding technical capabilities can be fully utilised in handling the unique machining of aerospace components such as; complex-shaped structural parts used in wings and bulkheads, heat-resistant parts used in engines, and landing gears that requires durability.

Mazak's 5-axis, multi-tasking machine equipped with laser metal deposition technology
In recent years, additive manufacturing (AM) has been rapidly evolving as a new manufacturing technology. Mazak can offer a lineup of hybrid machines that incorporate additive manufacturing with multi-axis / 5-axis machining centres. These machines can make it possible to join expensive materials, process AM of complex shapes, apply metal coating, and repair chipped or worn metal parts.
